Welcome to my site - normbain.com

If you've visited my LinkedIn profile, you'll know I've spent much of my career working with interesting people, tackling challenges, and finding practical solutions across a wide range of industries.

One thing I've learned along the way is that skills are far more transferable than most people realize, and workplaces have more in common than they might care to admit. Different industries, different jargon, but often the same challenges, frustrations, and opportunities to make things better.

I've also learned that most people are genuinely good at heart. A few seem determined to test that theory. My philosophy? Take people as they come, the occasional nonsense with a grain of salt, and life with a healthy sense of humour.

After all, you can't fix stupid, but you can usually get a good laugh out of it!

These days, I'm enjoying a different pace. I work remotely, help clients when there's an interesting challenge to tackle, and spend time exploring ideas, technology, and whatever else catches my curiosity.

This site is a place to share some of those interests, experiences, observations, and the occasional bit of wisdom picked up along the way.

Have a look around. If something sparks your curiosity, makes you think, or simply gives you a chuckle, I'd love to hear from you.

There's always something interesting around the next corner.
